SIRA’s recovery through work measures, for injured people who were working prior to their motor accident are presented below.

The below table demonstrates the scheme Return To Work rates, Stay At Work rates and Working rates at 26 weeks after the date of accident, based on data as at 30 September 2022. The working rate for September 2020 was 68.2%, with an improvement in March 2022 with the rate at 70.2%.

Return to Work Rates at 26 weeks

The 26-week RTW rate measures the percentage of pre-accident earners who have been off work for at least one day, due to the accident, and have then returned to some form of work, at 26 weeks mark, in either a full or partial capacity (including reduced hours or modified duties).

Stay at Work Rates at 26 weeks

The 26-week SAW rate measures the percentage of pre-accident earners who have not taken time off work or have had less than one day absence from work after the accident. This may include those performing reduced hours or modified duties at 26 weeks.

Working Rates at 26 weeks

The 26-week Working rate is the percentage of earners who are at work at 26 weeks. As it draws on data from both RTW rate and SAW rate, it includes earners who have had at least one day off work and have subsequently returned to work as well as those workers who stayed at work.
