Motor Accident Guidelines: CTP Care

Completed

SIRA is seeking feedback on the proposed draft Motor Accident Guidelines in relation to CTP Care

Consultation period: 04/07/2022 12:00 pm to 22/07/2022 5:00 pm

The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) has developed Motor Accident Guidelines: CTP Care, to support the delivery of the objects of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 by ensuring a smooth transition for the injured person from the licensed insurer to CTP Care, describing and clarifying expectations that apply to relevant stakeholders.

SIRA is seeking feedback on the proposed draft guidelines prior to their publication. Once these proposed changes are in place and finalised, SIRA will work closely with insurers and Lifetime Care and Support Authority (LCSA) to monitor implementation.

The draft Motor Accident Guidelines: CTP Care are now available for review, along with a summary of the changes. You can complete the online form (link is below), or email your submissions to CTPpolicy@sira.nsw.gov.au by 22 July 2022.

Submissions are to consider the following questions:

  1. Are the proposed guidelines easy to understand?
  2. Is there anything further you believe should be included in the guidelines? If yes, please provide detail for consideration.
  3. Is there any content in the guidelines that you either do not agree with or could be improved? If yes, please provide detail.
