Purpose
SIRA's purpose is to ensure NSW insurance schemes protect and support the people who need them, now and in the future. SIRA does this by striving to be a customer-centred, intelligence-led, risk-based regulator.
Outcomes
SIRA strives to achieve improved outcomes for people in NSW to ensure:
- People can access the support they are entitled to.
- People are protected by affordable, stable and accessible insurance schemes.
SIRA does this by striving to achieve outcomes across the schemes to ensure:
- Schemes are trusted, financially sustainable and accessible.
- Regulated entities comply with obligations and are held accountable.
