2025 has been a year of significant achievement across SIRA. The work completed has helped deliver better outcomes across the NSW Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party and Home Building Compensation Schemes, which together protect over 10 million people in NSW each year.
In the health provider space, we have a significant number of initiatives planned in 2026. We’ve also improved clarity around surveillance with an updated Standard of Practice. This helps insurers be clear about SIRA’s expectations for surveillance and how it is used within the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.
I look forward to 2026 and to continuing to deliver against our SIRA2028 strategy and regulatory priorities as we continue to protect and support the people of NSW who depend on our schemes.
I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe holiday period. However you're spending the break, I hope it is shared with the people who mean the most to you.
