Return to work coordination training
- For Category 1 employers (employers with a base tariff premium of more than $50,000, or employers who are self-insured, or insured with a specialised insurer and have over 20 employees), SIRA has updated the RTW Coordinator training module ‘Tailoring a Return to Work Program’ to better align with the Guidelines for Workplace Return to Work Programs.
- This update is to help employers understand specific requirements that are covered in their RTW Program. We encourage all RTW Coordinators/Managers to re-visit the revised module and review their RTW Program.
- This update has come about through our supervision of employers by Inspectors out in the field. Through this work, SIRA has identified a growing number of employers who do not have a compliant RTW Program that meets the Guidelines for Workplace Return to Work Programs.

The Guidelines for Workplace Return to Work Programs
SIRA has recently refreshed the look of the Guidelines for Workplace Return to Work Programs into a more user friendly, downloadable digital document.
If you get injured at work poster
The “If you get injured at work poster”, a compulsory requirement for all workplaces, has also been refreshed and can be found on the SIRA website. It is also available in four community languages.
