Public consultation opens on draft workers compensation reform instruments

Public consultation has opened today, Monday 20 April, on the draft instruments supporting upcoming reforms to the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.

The consultation covers the draft Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Regulation 2026, Workers Compensation Guidelines, Market Practice and Premium Guidelines, and related instruments and forms. These materials support implementation of legislative reforms arising from the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Act 2025 and the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment (Reform and Modernisation) Act 2026.

Consultation is facilitated through the Have Your Say platform and a number of targeted sessions. Submissions through Have Your Say will inform the finalisation of the regulation, guidelines and related instruments.
