Register of directed service providers

The public register contains information about directions issued to relevant service providers under Section 26D of the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015 (SICG Act). Relevant service providers are health and related service providers. A full list of the providers covered can be found at Clause 4A of the State Insurance and Care Governance Regulation 2021 (SICG Reg). The purpose of the register is to inform scheme participants like insurers and injured people, as well as the public, about the fact that relevant service providers have been issued with a direction from SIRA about the services they provide.

The register is published under section 26G of the SICG Act. Clause 4E of the SICG Reg makes provision for the information to be included in the register, its form and how it is to be published. The regulations make provision for the correction or removal of published information.
