About Workers Compensation Assist

Workers Compensation Assist is an outreach call service that provides general information and impartial support to workers with an injury, empowering them to drive their recovery.

The service aims to make it easy for a person who has been injured at work to understand their choices, rights, and responsibilities in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.

Why is SIRA calling me?

How we can help

  • Explain the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme and empower you with information about your choices, rights, and responsibilities.
  • Provide education and information on what to expect during the claim and recovery process.
  • Clarify the role of those involved in your claim, such as your employer, insurer, medical and rehabilitation providers.
  • Provide general information about your workers compensation payments and changes that may affect you as your claim progresses.
  • Advise you on where to go for more help or information.

How will I know if SIRA is going to contact me?

We will send you an email or SMS up to 48 hours prior to our call, which will have a link to our webpage so that you can verify who we are.  If you would still like to confirm that SIRA is contacting you, you can call us on 13SIRA (13 74 72) to confirm.

Please note that SIRA will never ask you to provide any personal details via email or ask you to click on a link to confirm who you are.

Tell us when we can call you

At SIRA we understand that you may need to attend medical appointments as part of your recovery or that you may be working. The email will include an option for you to tell us what the best time is for us to call you.

This will help us ensure that we are contacting you at a time that is suitable for you.
