Have your say: Review of support services for work-related hearing loss

We have commenced a review of support services for work-related hearing loss in the NSW workers compensation system.

If you have experienced these support services, we want to hear from you. The aim of the review is to simplify the claims process for this type of injury.

Research confirms that:

• hearing aids are effective for improving listening ability and quality of life for people with work-related hearing loss
• best results are achieved when a hearing aid is prescribed based on an individual assessment of the worker’s hearing loss and their needs.

We are seeking feedback from across the sector, including from injured workers.
