The Issue
Consultation period: 09/12/2019 9:00 am to 24/01/2020 5:00 pm
What is it about?
Generally, 'point to point' transport is any service in a vehicle with 12 seats or less (including the driver) that can take customers on the route they choose, at the time that suits them, for a fare. This includes taxis, hire cars, tourist services and rideshare.
If you work in this industry, please read the draft option paper and use the online form below to provide your feedback on how CTP insurance premiums should be set.
Next steps
Once feedback has been received, we will hold workshops to focus on how to operationalise the option chosen by industry and to identify or remove any pain points that may arise with the chosen option.
We will then carry out work to implement the selected option once the consultations have been finalised.
The new CTP arrangements will focus on:
- fairness, affordability and sustainability
- promoting competition as well as road safety
- simplicity and privacy
Any inquiries about the consultation process should be sent to [email protected]
