Regulation and fraud
We regulate motor accidents compulsory third party (CTP), workers compensation and home building compensation insurance. We ensure insurers comply with legislation, and guidelines and monitor their performance by data-gathering and analysis, and complaint and dispute monitoring. We also have a role in identifying and deterring fraud in the insurance schemes we regulate and have powers to prosecute under various legislation.
