Explanatory Notes

The working rate measure is a combination of two measures: the RTW rate work status and the 'stayed at work rate'. This measure includes workers who have had at least one day off work as well as workers who have not ceased work.

This Metric also allows a comparison by insurer type of workers who are at work at 4, 13 ,26, 52 and 104 week intervals from the date of injury. The figures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 show the data at 4, 13, 26, 52 and 104 weeks respectively.

The Data is shown above at the 4, 13, 26, 52 and 104 week intervals is for the whole system however using the filters available on the left side of this page changes the breakdown of data at these intervals by the selection made.

The RTW rates published do not include Coal Mines Insurance (CMI) data. CMI is currently building a new IT platform which is intended to provide SIRA data in line with the broader data requirements of insurers which SIRA licenses (Workers Compensation Insurer Data Reporting Requirements).

While reasonable care has been taken in preparing this data, the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) makes no warranties of any kind about its accuracy, currency or suitability for any particular purpose. SIRA disclaims liability for any kind of loss or damages arising from, or in connection with, the use of any information in this application.
