SIRA welcomes input into a consultation on a proposed health outcomes and reporting framework for the NSW workers compensation and CTP schemes.
The purpose of the consultation paper is to seek feedback on the proposed health outcomes and reporting framework for the NSW workers compensation and compulsory third party schemes. The framework establishes a vision for the delivery of healthcare in the schemes for all scheme participants and a systematic approach to monitoring and reporting on healthcare costs and outcomes. The vision is: "the workers compensation and CTP schemes regulated by SIRA deliver value-based care to injured persons covered by the schemes”.
The consultation seeks input on:
- how the outcomes framework can be most effectively used by SIRA and scheme participants to improve health outcomes and the value of healthcare expenditure
- the implementation plan
- what scheme participants can do to help advance the vision of value-based care
- areas where SIRA could focus its efforts to achieve value-based care in the WC and CTP schemes it regulates.
Submissions are invited by 04 September 2020 and can be made via the online consultation page.
