What you need to know if you're approaching the end of a total of five years (260 weeks) of weekly payments.


This information does not apply to exempt categories of workers (such as police officers, paramedics or fire fighters, coal miners or volunteers).

1. Introduction

Under workers compensation legislation, weekly payments are available for a maximum (aggregate) period of five years (260 weeks).

This does not apply to people who have been assessed as having a permanent impairment of more than 20 per cent.
