2. How do I claim my refund?

To see if you are eligible and to claim the refund visit the Service NSW website. Online claims can be made as a guest visitor between 5pm – 8am Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday.

Alternatively, you can claim online during business hours by logging in or signing up to a MyServiceNSW account (make sure you link it to ‘Roads’).

Claims can also be made over the phone by calling a Service NSW CTP refund specialist on 1300 287 733 from 7am – 7pm Monday to Friday or in-store by visiting a Service NSW service centre.

Refunds are made through electronic fund transfer, so you will need to provide your bank’s BSB number and your bank account details when submitting your claim.

As the Government has recouped the extra money paid from insurance companies, there is no need to contact your insurer.
